If you know me, you know I am always full of sarcastic, dark, inappropriate humour. This means 90% of my conversations end in laughter which is great because hey - laughter is healthy for the heart, right?

But when it comes to pictures, I hate being caught with a smile, let alone a laugh on my face. Why? To be honest, I am not 100% sure. It could be one of many things. Growing up I had uneven teeth and people always made sure to point it out, maybe it was that. Or it could be that when I was in university I finally let my parents convince me into getting braces, and some of my friends used to call me names for it (of course I had even worse names for them so we were more than even!). Or maybe it's because photographers never want me to smile during shoots and I just got used to that as the norm. Whatever it was, I hated being captured by the lens with anything other than attitude on my face, because let’s be real here, I have enough attitude to feed a nation!

And then, just like that, this shoot happened. This shoot was meant to be a re-creation of one of JLo’s bad ass tutu look. Of course, we nailed that look (why has JLo not seen this yet???), but in the process of re-creating that look, Su (Studio5bySu) caught all the laughs we shared in the palm of her hands and for the first time, I approved!

From climbing ladders, to blowing bubbles in the cold, to having fun in the snow (because we clearly didn't have enough snow days this month *rolls eyes*), we made the most of all the whites around us and the results were just all sorts of stunning.

And not only did the images turn out picture perfect, but I also genuinely had a great time shooting with Su - probably because both our sadistic personalities made for a great love-hate relationship!
